Holly Geraci and her husband, Peter Francis Geraci, donated $15,000 to the nonprofit organization, the Alano Club of Lahaina. The Alano Club is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, categorized as a charity. The Alano Club of Lahaina was established in 1989. In 1996, the board of directors incorporated the Alano Club of Lahania as a 501(c)(3). The Lahaina club focuses on providing a safe, clean and sober environment for people suffering with substance abuse problems. The money donated by the Geracis’ will go to support the Alano Club of Lahaina’s mission.
Members of The Alano Club of Lahaina board met with Holly Geraci and Peter Francis Geraci to receive the $15,000 check. In total, the Alano club of Lahaina raised nearly $20,000 during the grant challenge campaign.
The $15,000 donation is the result of a successful grant challenge, issued by Holly Geraci. From November 15, 2016 to the end of the year donations made to the Alano Club of Lahaina were matched, dollar for dollar, up to $15,000. The Alano Club of Lahaina is the third nonprofit selected by the Holly Geraci and her husband Peter Francis Geraci. The “Help Holly Help” challenges are a success for nonprofits. The challenges raise both awareness and funds for the nonprofits. Holly Geraci is a staunch advocate for helping those suffering from mental illness, disabilities and substance abuse problems.
